Hi, Coach Bob here with five simple tips for visionaries.
Yesterday, somebody reached out to me after hearing that I've been in the Visionary space for a long time.
He shared a story very similar to mine and many other visionaries and asked if I could give him a couple of tips to get him moving in the right direction.
I boiled down my spiritual revelations to five simple tips that any visionary can use today to get started on living a bigger impact.
Create structure.
I used to avoid structure like the plague as a visionary. I want my freedom and magic and spontaneity. Until I realized that putting structure around what and who matters most allows for freedom, spontaneity, and creativity within that priority. A business structure and a life structure are part of the path to freedom, not obstacles in front of it.
Tap In
I practice tapping in, or as I call it, fanatically scheduling. I fanatically schedule time to be quiet and still and tap into the unknown, to tap into what's going on in my head and what's going on in my heart. Tapping in can look like meditation or reflection. At iMatter, we do a thing called the Take Five and the 3-3-1. You can check into that to see if it works for you HERE.
Embrace the Quirk
The third tip is to embrace your quirkiness. When we start out, we have that woo-hoo energy. We're generating excitement, being creative, and creating great relationships. So often, that gets beat out of us as we get older. Our banks tell us what to do, as do our investors and our teams. I've been there before where I've lost my quirkiness, and I wasn't having fun anymore. Fun is sort of the point of this whole thing, remember?
Find Great People
Surround yourself with great people. Contemplate: what is the social structure you need in your life? Dan Sullivan says, "don't worry about what you have to improve on. Engage people who are great at those things, and then state where you're great.” We call that our great gifts. Ideas get turned into action when we have people around us, especially in our business, who can hear some of our quirky ideas and thoughts and can take care of the day-to-day. Great executive assistants, great people who can truly put the plan in place and manage people, make all the difference.
Combine Faith & Action
Combine your faith with action. To know everything's gonna be okay- that’s faith. Hold your faith, but also take action.
Don't sit on a couch and say, “I will be provided for," but allow your faith to give you peace of mind that your actions will pay off.
When I'm in an urgent in a scared, or scarcity mentality, I'm not at that frequency where I can tap into what's going on in my head and in my heart. We call that the love frequency. Faith helps raise that level of consciousness because when I'm in that elevated state, there's a lot of clarity, competence, and fun. So have some fun!
