Meet the iMatter Team

Bob Shenefelt, founder

Bob Shenefelt is a successful entrepreneur, author, speaker, visionary leader, and founder of iMatter™. Bob's strengths lie in his unique ability to create trusted relationships, listen for growth opportunities, create a simple plan, and inspire action toward a greater future, today. He is an expert in teaching authentic thought leaders how to be successful and happy, and he inspires action toward a greater future.

As a lifelong devotee to goal-setting and personal fulfillment, Shenefelt produced several tools based on lessons he has learned, as well as some of the key practices he lives by in his life...clarifying, simplifying and sharing. The ensuing process, and his passion for facilitating the success of entrepreneurs and communities, is now being shared in the form of a business life services company — iMCoachBob. Bob's great gift is to inspire change from the inside out.

Bob is a highly sought after speaker and facilitator on a variety of topics, including, “Creating Great Relationships”, “What Matters Most”, “Realizing Your Lifestyle”, and “Taking Your Team to a Deeper Level”.

Recently, Bob completed his training as a Professional EOS (The Entrepreneurial Operating System) Implementer. EOS® is a powerful system that takes a holistic self-sustaining approach to building a great company. It helps a business owner get the most out of their business.

In 2004, Bob founded iMatter which helps people to realize what matters most, clarify who I am, follow my North Star, and be happy.
Bob’s love for children led him to co-found the nonprofit, iMatter for Kids, which is dedicated to helping young people realize they matter, they have a voice, they can say what they believe, and stand up for what is right.

In addition to iMCoachBob and iMatter, Bob owns RCS International, a Canadian-focused distribution company that is reinventing the shipping and packaging industry around core principles of expert customer service.

Previously, Bob was the founder of Great White North, a distribution firm that was named Inc. Magazine’s 26th fastest growing privately held company in 1998.

J.P. Hogan, partner

J.P. Hogan is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and goal-driven business leader. In JP's 29-plus years of active service, he served in Southeast and Northeast Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and in the Pacific. He was selected as a commanding officer at multiple levels for US Army units overseas, and served as Chief of Staff for two different senior military staffs.

Following his military service, JP spent more than 10 years working with automotive companies and with the Department of Defense as a consultant and strategic planner. He provided in-plant consultative services to manufacturing management and labor leadership at several Ford locales, managed a group of in-plant training consultants in Visteon faciliites, and provided mentorship support to senior management personnel within DaimlerChrysler. As a senior consultant/strategic planner for Joint Task Force (JTF) 519 at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, JP offered senior-level mentorship for JTF's leaders, provided direct support to operational planning and execution, designed the JTF Knowledge Management System, and served as a primary architect of the JTF decision-making process.

While in the consulting field, JP was introduced to the iMatter Success System.  JP was so taken by the power of iMatter that he retired from the consulting business and became a vested partner in iMatter.

In recent years, JP co-founded and operates a leadership development program focused on helping prepare ROTC cadets at several universities in North Texas for their future roles as US Army leaders. The program (Passing the Torch) includes regular coaching, teaching, and a mentoring session with cadets on campus and at various battlefield locations in the US and Europe.

JP completed undergraduate work at Eastern Michigan University, earned a Masters of Public Administration at Shippensburg University and completed post graduate work in Strategic Studies at the US Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsyvlania.

The consistent thread through JP's varied experiences is his appreciation for what the human soul undergoes in tense situations faced by senior leaders in the public, private, and military sectors. This has given him an understanding of the power of sharing, the value of clarity, and the importance of knowing what matters most.
